Nylon monofilament, also known as nylon monofilament yarn or polyamide monofilament, is a synthetic fibre filament formed by the condensation reaction and melt spinning of adipic acid and caprolactam or caprolactam.
Nylon monofilament polyamide fibre, commonly known as nylon, was developed by the distinguished American scientist Carothers and the research team he led. It is one of the world's synthetic fibres. The emergence of nylon gave textiles a new look and its synthesis was a major breakthrough for the synthetic fibre industry and an important milestone in polymer chemistry.
Ⅱ.Applications of nylon monofilaments
Nylon monofilaments can be made into elastic yarn with good strength and abrasion resistance. Nylon filaments or staple fibres and other fibres blended or interwoven into fabrics with the characteristics and advantages of various fibres.
For civilian use, they can be blended or spun into a variety of medical and knitted products. Such as knitted monofilament socks, elastic socks and other wear-resistant nylon socks, nylon gauze, mosquito nets, nylon lace, elastic nylon jacket, a variety of nylon silk or interwoven silk, etc. Nylon monofilament nylon staple fiber is mostly blended with wool or other chemical fiber wool products to make a variety of wear-resistant, durable clothing materials.
In idustry, nylon yarn is widely used in ribbons, cords, fishing line, filters, sewing thread, industrial cloth, cables, conveyor belts, tents, fishing nets, craft accessories, curling irons and other industries.
In national defence, it is mainly used as military fabrics such as parachutes. As a raw material for weaving or knitting, nylon filaments are widely used. However, nylon filaments are not suitable for use in sunlight because of their poor light and light resistance.
Nylon monofilament filter fabrics are made from various monofilaments (commonly known as heddles) and are divided into four broad categories: polyester, nylon, polypropylene and vinyl. They have the physical and chemical characteristics of various synthetic fibres, and the fabrics are treated with heat shrinkage and calendering on the surface. The products have the excellent performance of high filtration efficiency, easy cake removal, easy cleaning, high strength and long service life, and are a new generation of filtration materials. Among them, 12870 is a new type of filter fabric specially developed by our factory, which has more superior performance.
The fabric can be made of different materials, with different specifications and different organizational structures to form a variety of monofilament filter cloths with different filtration performance and appearance, which can be adapted to the filtration requirements of filtration precision above 0.005μm. It is widely used in solid-liquid separation equipment such as plate and frame filtering, belt filtration, disc and vertical disc filtration in non-ferrous metal smelting, chemical, coal and food industries.
